Hi all - another wet behind the ears novice here
I SO wish I had found this site before I bought my ebay bundle - unnamed ink, unnamed paper, mugs are ok - and the longforte stuff I have had is ace - as is the actual heat press and mug press! PixMax?!
No idea of ICCs, or priming the ink cartridges if your pants printer cant recognise the cartridge ... until today!

A selection of mugs and the printer very almost found themselves coming to an untimely end - albeit fairly colourful!

Just glad to have now found the site and from what I have read so far, a lot of very helpful members!
Good to be here!

Hi Frankie and welcome to the forum :-)

I'm sorry you didn't find us sooner but at least you've landed in the right place now! I hope your initial issues haven't put you off sublimation and we look forward to getting to know you more ;-)

Welcome!! :) I bought the Pixmax bundle too - how do you find your mug press? I'm having some problems with mine and wondering if I should have invested a little more!

Anyone have experience with the PixMax 38x38cm Flat Swing Heat Press? I saw it today at a pretty high discount (44%) on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PixMax-38x38c ... 4869c7d0b3

The website of the seller "monster-doodles" shows they have a new model (probably to replace this one) also at a pretty good discount but a bit more expensive than this one. Is this a reliable seller?

Hi all, the boss bought a Pixmax mug Bundle a while back and it had been fine for me. We went and bought the Pixmax heat press too. I had a problem with the heat element of the mug press (my own fault) and Monster Doodle were fantastic help.

I know its not the best kit on the market but for us its perfect

Does the PixMax heat press give fairly even temperatures on the whole upper plate without any great oscillations between the center and the edges?

Hi Gilsan, Yes it does give an even pressure but you must ensure that the base of the press is level otherwise the whole press will shift. I cocked up a jigsaw or two before realising one 'leg' wasn't even touching the desk!

Sounds like you the new faces are experiencing the world of sublimation in the normal "Woops" "Ahhh" "Ohh I see" "What!" "Argghhh" "Wayhay" etc forms.

The thing is just as you have it sorted....you won't!

Welcome aboard folks have fun....and if something says "FREE"....read the small print because it probably isn't!
