Re: Sawgrass ditched Epson?
I was looking at the 'supported' range of Epson printers, but since the Epson 4015DN was discontinued, I don't see any new Epson printer they will supply cartridges for. Looks like everyone has to go Ricoh if you want to use Sawgrass ink?

This is probably down to the fact that Sawgrass are just about to launch their own branded printer and guess what.... its a Ricoh!

So that's the A4 desktop market now streamlined into one printer and cartridge. Is this the end of Artanium, Rotech and CISS? Next...A3...?
They could put a stop to every licensed brand if they wanted and rule the world.

Who said the Sawgrass printer solution was limited just to an A4 model???GoonerGary;97003 wrote:So that's the A4 desktop market now streamlined into one printer and cartridge. Is this the end of Artanium, Rotech and CISS? Next...A3...?

Re: Sawgrass ditched Epson?
Because the A4 Epson printer models are all discontinued and their website doesn't show any new A4 Epson printers which are supported. A4 is now Ricoh only. There are still options for A3, but who's to say that could go the same way?
Re: Sawgrass ditched Epson?
are they admitting defeat and letting the Epson dye sub market go to the other ink companies?
Re: Sawgrass ditched Epson?
The other ink companies have been supplying Ricoh ink for quite a while.

Re: Sawgrass ditched Epson?
The cynic in me thinks that now they have the partnership with Ricoh, why do they need Epson too? If you were going to boss this market, do it right and withdraw the licenses for Epson ink/ printers. You can imagine the discussions in the Ricoh boardroom....

If this is the case, I would hope they will keep making cartridges/selling inks, for existing Epson users.

Re: Sawgrass ditched Epson?
Personally I wouldn't see it as a bad thing if they ditch the A3/A4 Epson market in favour of a Ricoh product. I'd be more annoyed if I'd just bought a Ricoh set-up only to be told this new re-badged model will be superior along with inks that offer a wider gamut.
