Looking for dyesub/heatpress business in East Cornwall/West Devon
Re: Looking for dyesub/heatpress business in East Cornwall/West Devon
Hi - I'm a newbie to the forum looking for someone reasonably local who can help me produce some Chromaluxe panels (only up to 30cm square). I'm a photographer recently moved to the Launceston area (PL15) who does a lot of square format black and white work that I'd like to reproduce on aluminium. Initially I just want to do some tests on different types of panels to get the right 'look' but hoping this might grow into a higher volume of orders. Thanks in advance.

My kind of stuff! Do you intend to buy your own equipment in the future or just looking for a service?
The finishes are gloss or matt, I've only used gloss myself. And there is a standard finish and a transparent/ clear finish. I would say that the standard finish would look better for photographs. Bear in mind that you won't get the same tonal range from an Adobe RGB professional print, the colour space is much smaller with sublimation.

Sorry yeah my post wasn't clear - I'm not planning on doing it myself - just looking for a service. No worries about the colour space - initially at least the prints will be just black and white. I read about an effect where any white/highlight areas of the print doesn't lay down any image leaving the aluminium to shine through - this is what I'm after - maybe that's the transparent/clear finish you mention...?

Yeah that is the clear finish, it's really nice especially with rich colour. The usual supplier is out of stock but I will contact another company for the cost of the panels. I can't do anything until after Christmas though. pm me your email address and a website showing the type of work you are doing. If you send a file I can show you a small metal print before committing to a full sized panel.
