Thanks Justin, images of my first attempt at mug pressing uploaded to the gallery great,
Many Thanks
Many Thanks
Re: Up loading images to gallery
We were pleased, the only slight disappointment was on the back of the drummer boy, we had a solid red background with black text. The text looked as if it was sunken, so not as sharp as we would have liked. There was no issues with the handle as we asked Scott at BMS for his recommended maximum size.

Did the text bleed into the background? What time/temp are you using?
Re: Up loading images to gallery
Hi Justin,
Maybe, that was my thought, temp & time as a newbie again we went on Scott's recommendations of 180 degrees for 150 secs. Grace took the paper off immediately after she took it out of the press and dunked the mug into room temp water. The front image was fine.

Re: Up loading images to gallery
I wondered if you might be pressing for too long or not dunking quickly enough. From what you've said, if anything I'd press for longer. I cook for 180secs at 185c. Which mug press are you using?
Re: Up loading images to gallery
Just uploaded two more images to the gallery, I was told by a fellow on Nova Chrome's stand that their mug press was the only one to let you obtain a top to bottom image. To think I would have believed him if I hadn't spoke to Martin and he sent me a sample printed on their DF1. As a Yorkshire man that would have broke my heart to have paid out nearly twice as much.
Re: Up loading images to gallery
Thanks Justin, we are certainly dunking quickly enough, I will try the new temps tomorrow. The press is a DF1 from BMS

Re: Up loading images to gallery
Worked for a company that used Novachrome mug presses, very expensive. Never managed to get many full wrap prints from them either. Don't get me started on their support.
Re: Up loading images to gallery
Must have been beginners luck for us then, the support I have received so far off Martin has been first class. Just as well he is on his jollys or he would have got big headed.
