Re: Paper Cutting Service For Coffee Cup - Tablet - Mobile Devices
Hi Everyone, I am new here (registered yesterday) and already found help from other members of the forum
How does everyone cut the paper down to size for their coffee cup, tablet and mobile phone devices.
My hand isn't the steadiest and i'm finding that when I print my coffee cup designs I have what looks like a very small serrated edge on the top & bottom.
It's also very time consuming cutting each piece of printed paper down to the correct size.
Does anyone know of paper cutting service available ?
Thanks in advance

Hi. For mugs then we always use pre-cut mug paper which saves so much time and every second counts in this game hey. This is what we use and can highly recommend it: http://www.printerowners.co.uk/sublimat ... -paper.htm

Thanks very much, Do you know if its the TextPrint-R sublimation printing paper. Or is their make?
I'd rather have the correct type of paper as I am just starting out

The paper is branded to them (their logo on non-printing side) and is as good as TruPix which we use to use until they got this pre-cut size in (I did keep moaning at them to get some!). We have some mugs with very vibrant colours (e.g. neon green/orange/yellow) and this paper brings out the colour brilliantly. We use A4 TruPix for coasters but always this pre-cut paper for mugs. Certainly worth it I promise. Olly

Hi there
new to this too, surely if you use A4 you can get 3 mug prints out of 1 sheet, if its 91mm high do you not still have to trim it? they state on their site "91mm perfect for 80mm mugs!sorry if this is a stupid question but dont understand the logic, how long does it take to cut an A4 sheet into 3, use a paper trimmer or a good rule and sharp blade on a cutting matt, no serated edges, nice and neat, job done

I always use A4 and print 3 but them again I dont do 10x at a time, all depends on how much work you're pushing out I spouse?

I always use A4 as well, even when I have 100's to do. Just cut them using a paper trimmer, it takes seconds, and I often cut as I produce the mugs. I have three presses going at the same time as well!

Thanks very much Bob, Scotty & James.
Surely if you have three presses running at the same time, It would be beneficial to use pre cut paper.
The reason I asked the question was due to a client wanting a design that has no edges. Just four central logo's wrapped around each cup.
As he wants 150 cups I thought it would be best to use pre cut paper.

hope I'm not being a prat but I don't do mugs, yet, but just thought it would be easier to print multiples on a bigger piece of paper, hopefully someone with more experience can keep you right or advise bettercustomprints;94718 wrote:Thanks very much Bob, Scotty & James.
