Re: What are the best standard 11oz mugs
here's a follow up if anyone is interested... out of interest i bought in a box of coralgraph mugs and we've just printed them up. a few mucked up so i had to infill the order with a couple of bms mugs. absolutely no question the bms mugs print better and more reliable colours. they, bms, are however 20quid per box more expensive when you factor in shipping. you pays yer' money i guess!
Re: What are the best standard 11oz mugs
Now that just shows the luck of the draw.
I used BMS mugs (granted about 2 years ago) and found they weren't that straight, also had problem with the image migrating upwards after printing. Gave Coralgraph 11oz mugs a go and was a bit dubious because they were cheap. Still using coralgraph without a problem.
Really show with this business that nothing is ever quite as straight forward as we would like.
Gav .... hows the cap press?

I've been struggling to get blacks black on my mugs. Changed temp 3 times and still brown. Making me wonder if these mugs I've got are the problem. I'd be relieved if it is!
Re: What are the best standard 11oz mugs
Had two boxes from one supplier on different days and over half of the bottom layer was broken. So am trying BMS ones today. Fingers crossed

Hi Scotty, well I've been at 180 for 180 secs but it bleeds, 180 for 120 secs, black is brown, 175 and 170 at 100 secs. I preheat machine with an old mug. I heat the bottom of the mug on an electric plate. Black still brown.

I don't know that your press isn't running hotter than it's reading. Try 155-160 for 100 seconds. Worth a punt.
Re: What are the best standard 11oz mugs
One of my old presses printed perfectly at 150 degrees for 150 seconds....go figure. It printed like that for 1000's of mugs, the blanket died, new blanket 170 degrees for 180 secs was required.
Doesn't answer your problem..... just saying!

Re: What are the best standard 11oz mugs
Always hated doing blacks on mugs. However, just got some mug wraps in and tried them in my 3D oven.
Followed BMS chinese translated instructions 1 mug - 9 minutes and was blown away with quality. Now doing 4 at a time in there at 9 and a half minutes and not getting any failures and a lovely black.
Bloomin marvelous.
Again, doesn't answer your problem and I am just saying as well

I have said it before and will again. I have a halogen oven 200 degrees 18 mins no issues. Full wraps I drop to 16 mins if dark pictures. Again doesn't help and just saying
Many thanks
