Air sac First postings

As it says the first postings went out in airsacs today. Australia, USA, Norway and UK. 12 postings total to see how they do. 10 of those were long haul to give them a good test.
My initial thoughts are very hopeful and they are quick to use.

My mugs don't fit in Poly boxes so they were going very well wrapped in bubble wrap, and then in a box. No breakages, but slow packing and heavy.

The air sac cost more in material cost, but more than saves that in international postage and is way quicker.

Hoping they are a success.

Airsac themselves aren't the slickest of people to deal with!

What was the price. I emailed them and never heard back some weeks ago.... Rather put me off dealing with them.

Are you using them for the mugs. I have rang them three times to ask for a compatible box after inflation but no one has got back to us...

I am using them for the mugs, then just putting them in a standard plastic mailing bag. Apparently beer, wine, medicine bottles etc are shipped that way....time will tell!

We use the polystyrene style at the moment. We do still get some damaged with this style (mainly international). If your ordering the minimum 100 airsac+delivery+bag this method works out the same 45p packaging per item.

Can you post a photo of an inflated sac with mug inside?

It seems like this could work as we send about 100 mugs a day and reducing breakages would be ideal.

Tahdaa, I just use a bicycle stirrup pump, two pumps and the job is done. I can package and be free of breakages but the time involved in that is painful! Hence hopping this works. Feels as though it should.

Time will tell and as a big % of my stuff goes to the USA and Australia the postage saving is nice.

Thanks for the photos! It looks pretty good. We are fortunate to have compressed air on hand so we are just going to use a gun.

Have you done any drop tests or typical courier pass the parcel games off a wall to test the durability?

Also, your machine looks like a Pressmech Engineering Machine.

I have done the knock it off the desk a few times and the mug survived, have to admit to being a bit doubtful still even though I have no reason to be.

Pressmech indeed....just shows what an odd lot we are in this business, a glimpse of an obscured machine is all that is needed!
