Not sure of best decorating method

Hi guys
I have been asked to provide a local Glazing firm with T shirts (white), sweatshirts, hoodies, beanies and body warmers( all black) about 30 items in total.
They are happy to have the tshirts sublimated so I can do them here but I am not sure of my best option for the black stuff. I have an ink jet printer so was thinking of using some ink jet transfer papers but I only have a cheap chinese cutter so no contour cuts after printing:frown:. Is there a self weed paper for inkjet so I can just apply the graphic to the item and just the graphic is pressed. I think that it what happens? I am thinking that there may be enough in the job to buy a cameo cutter and then I have one for next time.This is the artwork. They only want it placed on the left breast so it shouldn't be to large. Any advise would be gratefully accepted.

Try this self-weeding laser transfer paper. Although personally I would do this in vinyl as it's more durable. White, light and dark blue. I shouldn't worry about the shading just cut the logo in white. Everything can be traced and cut without the need to contour.

ask one of the members who has a versacam to do them for you, workwear needs to be just that, it will be living a tough life and if you want a repeat order, then you need them made properly, they will come in the post from either RogerC or socialgiraffe and will certainly give you a better finish than anything you could do yourself.

Thanks Mrs Maggot I will try and contact one of them. In the meantime are we saying that the ink jet, sublimation and laser transfers are not fit for purpose. Or are they only for short term. I am asking as I was looking to buy either a wide format or laser printer to expand my products.

personally i would not want to use them for workwear, they are fine for stag and hen, and fashion items, but i personally don't think they have the same longevity that a professionally printed product will give you

I have used laser transfers including the expensive self weed stuff.. and just had a wash test done *one cycle* and appauled at it to be honest.. cracked and looks awful.

that's what I'm worried about too, is that once it's washed, it cracks and comes off as I want to use it on childrens items, so needs to be long lasting. Do the transfers produced by a versacamm crack and come off when washed?

Versacamm printed vinyl transfers are applied by heat press. There are various vinyls in use but I consider one of the vinyls made by Siser to be the best. It applies very well and 'streeeeeeetches' so much that it is suitable/manufacturer recommended for application to lycra amongst other materials. Once stretched it does recover it's shape. It washes at up to 60 degrees and is available in matt or satin finish.
