Police don't generally deal with ebay fraud - Action Fraud are supposed to be responsible for policing fraud these days and Ebay have their own fraud team. The matter of the passport was reported to the police (and to the passport office but they would not take a report from me, only directly from the police) - I have not had any update. As soon as the Lory issue gets flagged, he will move on to someone elses i.d. but at least for the moment we are helping stop him. I am just so frustrated that the listings are still open and those like the sax that have high bids are due to end soon :(
If anyone wants to add their thoughts, the ebay email address that replied to my initial report is customerhelp_uk@ebay.com

If you think about it, it's not the end result that he is counting on. What he wants is contact from people before and during the listing, offering a buy it now price to as many folk as he likes, sending bogus ebay invoices to them and counting his dosh as it appears. What that then also gives him, is more ebay user names to play with later I expect.

Great! I emailed ebay in the last half hour on my yesterdays thread with the list, explaining they had already been reported individually, so at least they are doing something now :)

I think we should send him a email with "I know what you did last summer" sort of content :)
should we bombard him with emails asking LOADS of stupid, and I MEAN stupid questions??
"is this embroidery machine come with operator?", "is this car incl. the driver", "can you deliver..." etc...? :)

just thinking :)
