Is there anything I need to do when swapping ordinary ink to sublijet ink? Like do I need to flush the system?
Thankyou

You do indeed. Anything between three and ten times. Which will cane your ink and fill your waste tank up a treat. Better off buying a new printer and using what you have as a standard printer in my opinion.

New printer is less than £100. Flushing will cost you more than than in ink.

As Arfermo says, you will probably spend more in dye sub ink than the new printer will cost. Plus if you purchase from BMS and ask nicely, I think they have bucket loads of normal cartridges and might throw some in as a treat for your standard printer :-)

P.S. This is all from my memory so Scotty will have to confirm.....

There may be one or two sets laying idle in the warehouse.

Two options. Option 1) Buy a new printer without Sublijet-R carts and also without warranty back up. £100 quid or so. Option 2) Buy full package from licensed dealer and get a second set of carts and 12 months warranty back up and dealer support. Around £280 depending on where you go. Remember, the initial fill will deplete the cartridges so having a second set to hand is fairly sensible depending upon your predicted output.

Personally I think its a no brainer, but it's entirely up to you of course.

Just be careful buying in a second set if you're not printing a decent amount. They seem to have pretty short shelf lives/use by dates. My advice is buy when the first one shows low ink....but they can stay on low for a long time as well!

Option 1 will probably be the best option so better start looking for another printer.
