Re: Any Advice Please

Post by Steve1 »

Hi

I am completely new and looking to start a little printing business from home. I was considering printing mugs, phone cases to begin with. But was just wondering what people find to be the best selling items.

I have also been looking at different printers but reading some contradicting reviews. So if anyone can recommend a reasonable priced good starter printer and equipment that would be great.

Thank you for any advice ( I need it )

Hi Steve. Telling people about your products is the key to making money as having the right equipment is not enough. Ebay is saturated with people doing personalised sublimated mugs with hardly any profit so it will be difficult to compete. Your best bet would be to find an outlet to sell (gift shop) or to market at corporate clients where you can get mass orders. Mugs are always king in my experience. Olly

Steve, have a look at the Ricoh SG3110 SubliPrinter as this will be your easiest route to getting started. Fully supported, warrantied and lots of people on here using the same printer. Make sure you buy from one of the suppliers so you get the full warranty backed up from Sawgrass and these will then come supplied with a full set of SubliJetR inks

Hello Steve,

I am, also, very new to sublimation printing and went for the Ricoh SG7100 after reading the reviews on this forum and I am very pleased with it. I did have problems setting up the PowerDriver with the Sawgrass Inks but I emailed them for help and they rang me back very quickly and were very helpful.
