Old tread but i decided to get some wraps and try my self how those machines perform with mugs. I must admit that after reading john's posts with nothing but problems i didn't hold much hope lol.

Fantastic result and I totally agree that the 3d vacuum is superb at sublimating mugs. In fact it was the reason I got into the mug business initially as did some phone cases first then saw the potential. It really is the only way to get a good top to bottom image as we saw in your video. I also tried a convection oven and halogen oven but these gave very poor results. The consistent temperature in the 3d mini oven is great. Although not for doing a large run of mugs quickly. Therefore I use three mug presses now instead and would only use a mug if I had the odd personalised top to bottom print to do which is rare. Useful post so people can see that mugs do work well in this great machine. We bought ours from BMS (printerowners.co.uk) who gave us lots of support on the phone and in person at their showroom.

The machine is really good for doing top to bottom prints but I'm not always happy with the those wraps. The straightest 11oz mug I've used were coralgraph and the mugs come out fine but if you use a mug that tapers in at the bottom like the BMS or longforte ones you may get some bluring along the bottom. You can fix this with some tape in the center at the bottom of your print.
The only other thing is that I have found printing top to bottom with coralgraph mugs is they will flake at the top and bottom and it doesn't take long for that to happen, I already know from past experience that longforte mugs will flake but I have not tried a top to bottom print on a BMS mug yet.

I do mine at 190c for 360 seconds

as i said it was my first attempt to do mugs and didn't knew what time i should use. so i remember I used 13min in those ovens ages ago so this gave me a starting point.

is 120sec enough for case????

got new motherboard upgrades paul...and my m8 done a few tweaks to both machines as well...hence why we can now get those times n temps - will get vid up later tonight if i have time....starting to get busy again ;-)

but they are spot on quality wise.....no messing about turning them half way through cooking as with the mug machine....perfect ever time ;-) - top to bottom....i,m just trying to master the handles....as in, how close i can get without distortion of the image
