Re: Ink, your opinion please. :)

I'm sure this has been asked over and over and I spent ages reading the results of searches but I'm after the best/cheapest inks for our Ricoh 7100DN.

I'm totally open to suggestions on supplier as well because as yet were to find one. We're quite new to this and we will be printing onto everything we possibly can excluding 3D vacuum stuff.

thanks for your help :D

You're limited in choice of inks of will work in the Ricoh printers, as they use a different ink type to what the Epson printers use, and the majority of ink companies producing for sublimation make for Epson based printers.
There are some inks on Ebay claiming to be compatible with Ricoh printers, but I have not tried them, and they look cheap/unbranded Chinese origin inks, so an unknown really.

So, as an add on. Who consistently supplies the cheapest sublijet-r inks? I'm after consistent pricing and good customer service (aren't we all?)

Sublijet Inks are sold by all good suppliers and you will probably find that they are all the same price (give or take a few pounds). However if you become a premium member then some suppliers will offer you a 10% discount on your purchases so will save you a few pounds.

There are good and bad inks coming out of China - but it's a big gamble if you don't know which you are buying before hand.
We use inks from South Korea however, and have done happily for quite a few years now.

I use low cost sublimation ink in my SG3110DN and it seems fine, nice rich colours and no problems and only 6% of the cost of the main brand ink.
