Re: new version of powerdriver for Ricoh!

Post by spongerobinson »

Hi all,

I've just seen a post from BMS on Facebook about a new version of Powerdriver available for SG3110dn users, with some new features. I know some of you may not be on Facebook, so thought I'd post here about it.

From BMS:

PowerDriver Software Update:
This PowerDriver 4 update adds three exciting new features and capabilities designed specifically to enhance our SubliJet-R customers' sublimation experience:
Updated ColorSure Palette
ColorSure Spot Colour Matching Wizard
Remote support access
Updated ColorSure Palette
PowerDriver 4's ColorSure Palette has been streamlined and updated to give users access to more relevant and useful colours that are matched to standard colours used in the graphic arts industry.
Additionally, the ColorSure Palette enables users to select which ColorSure colours are applied to their print. This valuable new feature prevents unintended application of ColorSure values in gradients and other continuous-tone images and graphics.
ColorSure Spot Colour Matching Wizard
The most exciting improvement is that Color Finder has been replaced by the ColorSure Spot Color Matching Wizard. This all-new wizard approach makes identifying, validating and saving critical spot colours to the ColorSure Palette faster and easier than ever.
Remote support access
PowerDriver 4 now features a Remote Support Access button within the Resources tab. This feature allows Sawgrass Technical Support to remotely access the user's computer for system analysis, advanced troubleshooting and set-up assistance.

Shame it's no use to me as we are using a Mac, but new features look like they might be interesting!

Thanks to BMS for the heads up anyway.

Disappointing that none of the suppliers or indeed Sawgrass took the time to let us know on the forum eh? So, thanks to Spongerob for this :-)

I downloaded powerdriver v4 when I got my Ricoh about 4 weeks ago and it caused nothing but problems, supplier told me to use ICC rather than powerdriver and Sawgrass support was none existent as I was just told to print some charts and press them then use the colours codes for future use which doesn't work
So all in all I wasted money buying a Ricoh so think I'll stick with Epson as never had any colours problems

here's my thread http://www.dyesubforum.co.uk/vbforum/sh ... lour-issue

I'm sure I posted about ditching my RICOH's in favour of the Epson printers a few weeks a go as the Epson's have a far better print quality and control over the colour control and being able to get better results on slates.
