mini 3d machine mugs

My guess is the coating (or lack of it) on that particular mug. To not get anything at all surprises me. Did this guy try any other mugs? Any response to that post?

there is not much about these machines yet....give it another 2/3 months when folk start buying them and trying them out...then you might see more reviews ect


as for the coating on mugs....i can put the same mugs in my mug press and it comes out great - top to bottom as i have shown....so the mugs are ok....
same prob the guys got in the YouTube vid - it just aint transferring anything - like i said earlier justin...we bought these machine primary for phone cases, the mugs was just an extra for us.....but if the time scale is what you quoted, around 20mins for 1 mug...when they are saying 560sec for 4 mugs - i go with the real world review...YOURS !...20mins is to long ...what you do if you got a run of mug orders in....and all you got to use is the 3d press...jeez, i would have bugger all hair left bud if that was the case - they aint feasible in the real retail world for the mugs side anyway..at the moment...unless we find out something we dont know yet

Well assuming 4 mugs with wraps take around 20mins that isn't that bad for time, for 1 mug with mold it is bad but if it can create a more premium product it maybe worth it although you would pobably be better off to having the bigger 3d vacuum press in that case.

I watched this video before deciding whether to get one of those mini machines:

I came to the conclusion that it was just far too much faffing around, and decided against one. As much as I hate having to open my 'beast' up every few weeks to trim the hose that leads to the bottom of the vacuum area (it splits every few weeks), there's no way I want to get into changing positions here and there, changing the membranes etc. I like opening a lid and putting everything in!

I really hope you get this sussed though; there's nothing more annoying than forking out money for something that isn't being properly supported by the manufacturer. I had the same thing with a Philips DVD recorder something like thirteen years ago where every time they replaced it, it would show the same fault and thousands of people were reporting the same faults. In the end, Comet gave me £500 in vouchers as they'd no longer entertain any more repairs so I bought a load of gaming stuff instead!

update from supplier...
we shown them the youtube vid/s and said we tried also and it dont print mugs at time/temps they tell you....see justin post ( 20mins per mug )

they said it does print mugs and they will get vid done and show us....
mean time - she said, please try mug in mold with lid/vacuum @ 190c for 7mins...make sure you have sub ink, paper and right mugs.... usual speel :rolleyes: they think we just started up yesterday on this ??

got 24 free ( donation) keep calm mugs getting picked up tomorrow for local gala day, along with other bits n bobs - free advertising local for us , so i think its back to the usual mugs press's

Well my replacement one of these turned the other day and I had a play with sunday and today. After reading this thread I was planning on going with justin's 20mins but the timer only goes to 999 seconds so went with that. The result of that was a burnt mug (colour wrong and image blurry) so next I tried 600 seconds which produced a very acceptable mug, later on I decided to make some orders up in it and one of them has black writing near the bottom of the mug. The writing black writing came out brown so over cooked black, I didn't have time to mess with it so made it up in my mug press. So this evening I thought I'd have another little go with this and decided i'd try bigj 360 seconds and it came out just as good as the 600 second one. The mug with the black writing that went brown is a personalised mug so next order for it i'll try it at 360 seconds and see if it happens again. I wonder why there is such a defferance between our results with these machines.

so you can do mugs in this ??? but not for us so it seems....will try one tommorrow and cook the bugger for 600sec...fans at the ready tho lol,

how are you doing them ?
in the rubber mold, or with the green wrapper things ?

either way, i cant even get a whiff of ink on any mug....but not had time to try again since last time tbh....and that was at 400sec...nothing, nada.....
and that was with green clamps and with the rubber molds :rolleyes: - and yes, they are sub coated mugs as they print great on the other mug press's

I'm using CG mugs heat is set to 190c, tru pix paper, 4 mugs in green silicone wraps. I hit preheat, once at 190c I put them in upside-down hit the preheat again to get temp back to 190c then hit the timer and turn the vacuum off. I have had this print all around the handle but did get a slight fade under the handle on one so i'm working on something to put some pressure there.

thanks for this.....this is better instructions than i got from the bloody supplier :rolleyes: - ie NONE!
