shed load of pillowcases to post what service do people use

Ive just had to print and post 800 cotton feel pillowcases (a bit heavier than the shiny ones dunno why) , obviously very heavy and in multiple boxes 8 to be exact. it cost me 50 quid but my supplier when he posted them to me i know it cost him a little more than half that so just wondered what people use on here for posting large orders ?

I just use a local courier who must be part of a network - always cheaper than RM / PF

about 10 kg per box i think John i cant remember off hand i went with yodel in the end but i just wondered how others get it so cheap i suppose its all volume

I pay £6.00 for up to 20 kilos on an overnight and 22p per kilo above that

(slightly less for courier packs and envelopes)

Its a numbers game Brett, one of my trade customers pays £4.99 per consignment regardless of weight upto 100 kilos. But they send out in excess of 300 orders per day

You could always try https://despatchbaypro.com - my account is their lowest volume possible and it only costs £6.13 to ship up to 30kg in the UK. I signed up with them quite some time ago but it's not really worth my while to use them as their minimum package price is actually more than it costs me to send everything out (I send out t-shirts, which are only £2.34 for 1st Class Signed For) so I don't use them very often... maybe once a month.. and I can still get a price of £6 for 30kg.

Worth a punt, perhaps?

Often worth looking at getting quotes for part pallet loads for some deliveries. 8 boxes for example may well only constitute 1/4 pallet whereas 8 boxes at x price could work out very expensive. Most haulage/couriers will quote on part pallets 1/4 and 1/2 anyway.
