I'm Tearing my Hair out!

I received the attached jpeg file from a client. I want to print and cut this on my BN-20, therefore I need the file in .eps format with cutlines so I can remove ALL the white areas.

My idea was to convert the jpg file to a vector file - no problem doing that.

Then I made a contour cut line around the whole border - no problem with that.

Then I tried to create cutlines to allow me to remove all the inner white areas. Now this is where I hit problems!

Having spent the last couple of hours trying to do this, I now have aching shoulders, aching neck, aching head and my hair's turning grey!

The final .eps file needs to be 300mm wide and cutlines to be hairline thickness and lets any contrasting colour so I can choose them and change them to the Versaworks ContourCut colour.

Is anyone able to tell me how to achieve this in Coreldraw?

I really need some help to maintain my sanity

Would Vector Magic help John? I just ran it through online and it looked OK but my registered desktop version is in the office

I ran a trace in CDraw but it appeared a little hit and miss.

Thanks for the reply.

I did convert it with Vector Magic and it did a great job, BUT, it didn't create the segents I required - if you understand.

I tried to upload the .eps file but it's not a valid format.

Update:

I just imported the image into CorelDraw 6 and did a 'Quick Trace' = PERFECT!!

Sometimes the solution is the simpleat one!!

sometimes with corel i find if i invert the image first i get a better trace, i have no idea why, but i hit the button once in frustration of "what the heck does this do" and find myself using it more and more
