Re: Adkins 'Multi' Mug Press - Looking for a deal.

Really impressed with this - it seems to heat in a fraction of the time the Chinese One managed !
Also:
How do I go about pre-heating the Mug's as there is no 'Idle' temp on this ?
I pressed my first Mug - the paper burned at the top, over the open end of the Mug ! I got close to the handle than ever before but it was better on One side than the other.. I also had a 'Blow Out' at the top but to be honest I used a paper which was not cut as close as I would normally cut and I placed the image closer to the open end than again I would usually.
I LOVE the 'End Stop' which ensures the mug is ALWAYS in the same place in the blanket - this was a problem for me with the Chinese press as there was never a way to regulate where the Mug sat.. very good in terms of detail.
The 'Operation' of this press had me reading the manual - I simply missed the 'Press and hold Save' when making changes.
Really impressed with this press as I have already said..
I fully recommend these machines - this has been ANOTHER 'Night and Day' difference for me in terms of equipment.

Re: Adkins 'Multi' Mug Press - Looking for a deal.
Just finished all of today work so back to this..
Did I see somewhere that Ricoh Sub Inks need less time or temp ?
I need to get to the bottom of my 'Browning' issue.
IF you have the same press and use Ricoh inks like me please post your times and temps.
Justin ?
I can also confirm that the latest batch of Mugs from Listawood DO NOT HAVE the any sub coating on the base.

Re: Adkins 'Multi' Mug Press - Looking for a deal.
I've just got one of these. Can't wait for it to come
Re: Adkins 'Multi' Mug Press - Looking for a deal.
I use the same press...among others. My mugs are cold and on my ricoh printer (sawgrass inks) and my epson (other) both print nicely at 180 for 180.

Hello Nik,
Thanks for your pictures.
What is the black stuff on the right ? It's what you called "end stop" ? I don't see that in aadkins website.
I could be interested too for this press but little afraid for the trip to France. I don't see retailer here.

Hi Shark,
I wouldn't worry about this press making it to you in One piece - they come double boxed and packed really well indeed.
Yes, that adjustable black arrangement holds your mugs in the same place each time - forces you to keep putting the mugs in at the same orientation (bottom to right), its a lovely touch.
I too didn't see this on any product listings and was very happy to see I was sent one - that small improvement makes the press a joy to use.

Re: Adkins 'Multi' Mug Press - Looking for a deal.
Thanks for your answer Nik.
When you put a mug in the press do you add a paper or something else to protect the press ?
How to maintain the element is good condition ?
I sell 11oz and 6oz mugs, is it easy to switch the mug element ?
I'm thinking to buy the multi mugs.
Last question (for the moment), in the studio multi-mug press, the 4 mugs elements are include in £395 ?
I'm looking if it's an option or not and what is the price... I look stupid to be so blind...

Re: Adkins 'Multi' Mug Press - Looking for a deal.
Little One,
I put nothing apart from the Mug and Transfer paper in my press, but as I say this press is new to me so still haven't formulated a routine (ie, a specific way I always make mugs).
I only sell the 10oz Mugs at the moment but do fully intend to offer the 6oz Mugs aswell - the blankets/wraps are not simple to change - there are 10 screws and then you need to remove a plate at the bottom of the press to connect the new blanket's power.. ok, it IS simple but not a fast process (let's put it that way).
Also, NO - You get the 10/11oz blanket as standard, I think the other blankets are £65 each.
Don't forget - the £395 is exclusive of VAT (and I assume you got that price from xPress) - if that IS the case and you want to buy from xPress you should call them as they will have a deal on the extra blankets when you buy the press at the same time.
I only purchased the Multi-Mug Press with the standard blanket/wrap but got a discount as I am a premium member here
