I don't know what prices you were quoted so you may get a very good deal if you still decide to club together. Dealing with a new unknown supplier is fraught with problems which was the basis for my comments but this isn't the case now as we were contacted over the weekend with details of this as well as test results from one of our main suppliers. If these machines do what they say on the tin, reliably, then many DSF members may be able to expand into this range of items with little incremental costs to their existing set ups. The larger machines will still have a place for the commercial end of the market.[/QUOTE

I would rather buy of a reputable buyer, if one of them gets this or similar I would be interested, even if it cost a bit more as then the help would be there at the end of the phone. I shall be keeping a eye out to see if they do.

3d printers are getting more advanced buying of ebay isn't good you can't see what you buying I would buy from a firm you can see it working and get a guarantee these arnt cheap and losing you hard earned cash for something that might work or not isn't good use a firm with good reviews that way you can guarantee it works and they have training to help you gain experiance to work the machine the software also has to be learnt as yiu working on data try to get 3 d printer expensive as you can afford as cheap is cheap for a reason quality is best option with a firm that will back it up with a guarantee so you will get exactly what you pay for .

That has got to be the longest sentence I have ever read!

I wish the title of this thread was changed, the term 3d printer gets me excited (because I really want one but don't have a real justification for it) and this is a 3D vacuum heat press, which doesn't print anything.

Same here FP!

and this is a 3D vacuum heat press, which doesn't print anything.
Errr, in that case I presume you mean no heat press prints anything. Technically, that is correct but it is sort of splitting hairs.

I don't consider any of my heat presses to be printers (I dont have a 3d one)..

When I read 3d printer I instantly thing oooh plasticy creation goodness even when it's on the DSF forum (I bet more than one member here has one).. as I'm subscribed to this thread I fall for it every time the notification email comes through..

back on topic I've noticed BMS are gearing up to sell the frystyle unit at a decent enough price, but do you get the mug wraps with it? because I imagine that'll soon add £100+ onto the price.

Yes, vacuum press is a much better term to not cause confusion with actual 3D printers.

And with regards to the post from MarkT1513 - I think it ignores too many rules for what constitutes or defines a sentence to be classed as such.
