Vacuum Presses and Mugs
Re: Vacuum Presses and Mugs
I've been looking at the vacuum presses for a while - both the big one which will hold 12 mugs, and the new small one which can hold 4 mugs. But, i am trying to find out if there is any advantage to using a vacuum press for standard mug printing over an oven - is the vacuum side of things actually used with normal mug printing in the silicone wraps?

Re: Vacuum Presses and Mugs
Hi Pisquee,
Although I have not actually used my 3d oven for mugs (it will hold 12) I can say that it does not use the vacuum at all. In actual fact, with my machine you have to take the silicon rubbery bit and tray out of the machine to enable you to place mugs in there. Quite easy as it just slides out.
Effectively to use it for mugs would be exactly the same as using a standard oven.
