Or set the 'proof colours' in the view menu to your icc profile as a way of soft proofing.
Me and PShop don't get on, I use CorelX6. I will get one of them ICC things made (more money) and see how I get on. Crazy that when its printed it looks really spot on.

£25 is a small investment as part of the set-up costs for your business, and a one-off cost at that, assuming you don't change printer, inks, transfer paper, you won't need to get another one, unless you want to go the route we did and have different ICCs for different product types.
Corel can handle ICCs, so if you prefer that to PS then that's fine - whichever software you're using you will need to learn about colour management and ICCs to be able to use them properly, although Paul has very clear and detailed instructions, although based on Photoshop.

Many thanks for your unbiased help, it is a bit of a learning curve! Do you know of a re-fillable set of cartridges for the Ricoh 3110?

you can get refillable carts on Ebay and Alibaba. The trouble is finding inks that will actually flow well through the Ricohs - you're best contacting who you got the set up from in the first pace to get them to supply them same as you have, as you need consistent inks to have consistent printing and for the ICC to still be valid.

You need to make sure your profile is right for your ink set. You will need to give info on printer used, ink brand, paper, settings etc. otherwise there is a lot more guess work.

Thanks Andrew, you mean a colour profile? I'm busy trying to get one done and hope that solves the problem, can't wait to get moving.

if a gamut issue then rendering intent will cure it, gamut mapping should not create a bit hue shift unless the rendering intent is wrong.

rendering intent are ONLY used when there are colours OUT OF GAMUT in this case they shring the outlyig colours to fit and in some cases also shrink correct colours which are in gamut thats how perceptual works. However absolute and reletive do not do this but you can get some horrible stepping if you have belnds, most people use perceptual as it give a PERCEPTION of smooth colours.
