Re: Is this correct?

Hi guys, sorry if this has been asked a thousand times but im getting conflicting advice so would like to clear things up. I have the coral 4 mug press and am wondering what the correct sequence is for operation. Am I right in thinking 1. Turn on power 2. Set time/temp 3. Place in blank mug until temp reaches max 4. Put in print mug 5. Start timer? Im a little unsure on if I should wait for temp to raise again after print mug has been inserted before I start timer. Cheers Gareth

Never have it turned on without a mug in it, that can cause damage to the blanket, so keep a spare mug as your heat up mug.

Personally I start timer once the mug has been put in but it depends what time/ temp settings you have, for example i played trial and error till my timing was right so the mug has time to heat up to full temp and bake for long enough without burning the inks, your settings will depend on your mugs / ink combo.

Thanks for the reply futureproject
I got my sequence in my first post slightly wrong, i do put a blank in before turning on and setting time and temp to help protect the blanket. Ive got temp set to 180 and time is 180. Do you think that would be sufficient to just start timer without letting it build back up to temp when the cold mug is put in? Cheers Gareth

Those settings are the same as I have. But it depends on the mug, paper, ink etc.

No, but I have in the past, and those were the setting I used. But if it is Ricoh printing you might find that the timing might be different. Someone on here who has a Ricoh printer might be able to advise. I have Epsons and those timings work for mine set up now! Just spent the whole day making mugs, with three mug presses on the go!

Depends. This order is for a church centenary. The church has a very large congregation.

If the prints are coming out faint, then have you got the press tight enough?
