BMS Press Problem

I am in the middle of pressing a large number items for Crufts next week. I appear to have lost some of the pressure on the press. On the weekend the press made a could of large cracking sounds which came from the area of the springs underneath the handle. I now have it on full pressure and it is only clamping on light pressure. I have noticed the front spring does not go down with the others.

Does anyone have any experience with this kind of problem? Thank you.

At the risk of stating the obvious....have you spoken to BMS about it?

Hi, I have now, when I posted last night it had only just happened and BMS were closed. It has broken, they are kindly sorting out a spare bit for it so hopefully will finsih my jobs before the show.
