There is a myth here - the Sawgrass inks (Ricoh SG3110 SubliJetR and Epson 7890 SubliJet Pro Plus) have both been used to sublimate 3D items at temps as low as 135-140 degrees C. There isn't a 'low temp' sublimation ink and the inks we have supplied to a company manufacturing 3D machines here in the UK are just the standard Sawgrass inks which sublimate perfectly at these temps and 3D machines are sold following demonstrations of exactly this kit.

from what i mind in the vid, the "low temp inks" are used solely with the film
but how can they use the SAME machine with 2 supposedly different inks ? - like i said earlier justin, cross contamination must come into play here no ?

when i watched it last night, paused it and went n made coffee for half n hour, came back and it had locked up my dam machine....everything.....everything was working fine up until i opened the page to watch the vid ...Hmmm

you can get the same vid in UK/USA youtube...its just in sections rather than in one lump...and it dont freeze or fart about

Yeah, I gave up on the Chinese video site as it just would not play, and locked up my machine, and then went and watched them fine on YouTube

Thought i'd just point out that when the chap is going through the maintenance I didn't notice him grounding himself and that board looks to have capacitors on it which can give a nasty shock.

You have a choice - use standard Sawgrass inks in 3D machines which sublimate perfectly at temps as low as 135-140 (tried and tested) or buy into some other inks that suggest they are special because they sublimate at low temps in 3D machines (and I'm sure they also are tried and tested).

The myth is that the standard Sawgrass inks aren't going to work in a low temp 3D machine. Well, we've confirmed that they do.
