Heat sealsable backing onto sye sub patches / badges

Hi all, I have printed some dye sub patches (badges) (the golden finishes ready range type) and the customer has asked about a heat seal backing on them.
I have found a couple, one that Madeira do (the embroidery people), and this one which I think is pretty much the same:

Has anyone tried this on dye sub fabric / patches?

It gets sticky when heat is applied so you need to run an iron over your patch and see how the design holds up, if it's fine you should have no problem applying them with iron on stuff

problem I've found is pre-applying it to the back of the patches, otherwise it's a pita with alignment maybe you could use a diamonte tool to spot weld it to the patch so its tacked on but not all over your press?

essentially you're looking at nothing different to bondaweb (you can buy that in supermarkets) so you can trial with that?

We do loads of these, usually on jacket fronts that are not mountable in the embroidery machines. There are two types of the Madiera glue backings. One is for the heat press and the other is for use with an iron. Both work great but you do need a lot of pressure to glue it on.
