Re: eBay and emails for uploading images

What is the best way to get around eBay's policy on email's. A couple of times now, I have been told that I should not have email's in listings and they don't allow them in eBay messages. I have tried auctiva's automated email when someone wins but it is not instant, and buyers send messages asking where to send images.

I would appreciate any advise.

If you have a business account, then you can have your email address in the contact details section which goes at the bottom of all your adverts, along with your geographic address, and phone number.

HI Have email in all my listings i also have a form submission system im pretty sure ebay would frown on both although ebay did look at my form system and agreed i could keep it although not in writing so i dare say they would if the mood took them deny this. there is the messaging system where people can upload a picture too but this is hit and miss as to if you can save from it . its quite good fun ringing ebay up and posing the question how do i get customers to send me a picture because they simply dont have an answer

they can send it in a message sir ........ cant save pictures from messages
hmm tell them to email it you sir ...........cant put emails in messages or listings
use the automated email service sir ...........i do customers dont read them ..........how do you know they dont read them .......... because they still blummin ask me how to send a a picture

its not an easy one id put your email address in your listing description and direct any questions to the listing description theres not a lot else you can do

I have a link to my website in my About me pages. I don't sell on ebay, but it's a sneaky link. Send customers there if they bother to read your description.

Get a jpeg of your email address and then you can send it via Ebay messages.
