Re: HELP - Xpres No Weed System Problems

Post by Zipdorf »

Hello

Is anyone else having problems with the Xpres Laser No Weed system? I purchased an Oki printer and no weed papers from them and have had a string of problems with it.

I am now having to take them to court to try and get a refund and wonder if this is a one-off or if others have faced the same problem?

If you don't want to post publicly my email is: lee@soundpublishing.co.uk

Thanks

The Xpres papers are the only ones I've been getting on fine with tbh, had no problems whatsoever.

I'm in the process of taking someone to small claims court right now, believe me, if there's any way whatsoever to avoid it take it, it's incredibly difficult and time consuming, not to mention the costs :-(

Anyhow, we don't want to be discussing the case on here, let's see if we can help you sort the problem as Dave suggests :-)

Hello

I purchased the system with a cost of more than £2,200.

When I pull apart the two papers it is never a clean separation. I have made over 90 tests and never had a perfect result.
They sent down an engineer who couldn't get it to work either. I have followed every heat setting and variation they have suggested. I have a almost new Stahl Maxx heat press AND a good quality Swing press. To be fair their technical guys have been very good but after eight months of problems there comes a point when enough is enough. It has cost me a small fortune in wasted time and effort. I have sent back all the items and tried asking them for a refund but they have refused this. I am not sure what more I can do? Luckily I have a successful business and legal insurance for such things.

OK, if you've sent everything back then there isn't much we can do to help here. It sounds like you tried everything but it just isn't working for you which is strange.

Good luck with it all and i hope the outcome is amicable for all involved.

Before you go ahead have you tried magic touch paper, they are helpful and might be able to help you overcome these problems

I agree.. something very strange there as I also have used the 2 part no weed paper from them without problem and I only have a cheap generic press..

I would be concerned that it might have been a dodgy batch maybe or would have tried another printer potentially first..

Well either way, hope you manage to get something sorted that works for you.
