Using Trupix paper

and there not the best quality images i used for these cases but you cans see the difference in quality with the change of paper. I wonder if the settings/icc profile can be change to get better print using the cheaper paper? i'm happy with the trupix anyway

I must admit, in the past I've been a re-filler and 'compatible cartridge' buyer but with my inkjet transfer printer and my sublimation printer I only buy originals, at £60 for durabrite and £200 for the sawgrass it does hurt a little bit when I see the cheaper alternatives but when selling products, it's not worth cheeping out.

This print definitely came out better. I think for the second case that you did with Microtec paper, you haven't let the ink dry on the paper, hence the grains.

In my country, there is no branded supplier of sublimation paper but as far as I know there are two types: one type does not absorb the ink (like the Microtec) and another absorbs the ink so it doesn't smudge after it gets printed. I've used both and I prefer the latter type since it doesn't smudge on the case and the difference in result is negligible.

hi there peeps I did post a little message earlier but did not really get an answer about time setting and heat settings using film and paper for phone cases and ipad cases brought from BMS as their site only give timings for presses and no settings for the 3D stuff I have messaged them and ask for there help but I guess they are not back until Jan 2014 and I could do with some help before then if anyone can.. would help a lot

Also could do with some advise on getting templates or best way of sizing to make template's for the phones and ipad cases for printing with CorelDraw or Photoshop I have either I guess Corel would be the better program if I have to draw the sizes myself any help would be great and if there is anyone living in east London who is doing this sort of thing maybe we could hook up and share ideas to try and make it as smooth as possible as I have been reading all the forums and it is obviously not that str8 forward until you get it right.

As they say 2 minds are better than one :)

many thanks in advance and happy new year to all

set temp to 190c and preheat , time 8 mins . Google got various templates up, super mod Paul has some on his site http://www.frames4photoshop.info/ but you need to add the sides. not to hard to make them in photoshop, just measure back draw rectangle , then the sides and raw rectangle for that and few mm for bleed

3d machine is fine so far pretty straightforward to use? ill post some pics later maybe a vid if i get round to it. I have not tried any mugs yet. I got like a starter pacK 3d Printer , jigs coooling jig for iphone 4 / 5 galaxy s3 and s4, cases paper etc including shipping came to abt £900. 3d machine alone was £300.

Yes, you hit thenail on the head there, i noticed the ink didnt really dry on the microtec, kept smudging tried allsorts, after 20 mins still not dry . i dont know if there is a way to reduce the amount of ink it lays. Dried more or less straightaway with the trupix which i am going to stick with .
