Re: colour problems
Could be a number of things, overheating, profile etc. Tell us what you're using, printer/inks, paper, time and temp for a start. What blank are you printing onto?

Hi Justin
printing onto mugs is the biggest problem,we use sublijet inks from sawgrass with their colour profiles tru pics paper or bms,we use a dt14 mug press with temps 170 for 140sec have tried a new control unit for the press still no better.have spoken to sawgrass tecies but they appear to be stumped.

Re: colour problems
Are you using a Ricoh printer? Presonally I would print for 180secs. If you're using a Ricoh through a PC then Powerdriver is your best bet. What software are you printing from and have you checked the setup in here?
Not sure why you'd need a new control unit unless the press wasn't working correctly.

Re: colour problems
we are using a ricoh through pc with power driver and sawgrass set up in corel draw. The colour on the paper is correct it is only when we transfer that the colour changes. We changed the control panel to rule out faulty temp readings.

Re: colour problems
Worth investing in a cheap infra red thermometer to check your press temp. next time
Only £10/£20.
Issue could still be with the printer setup so worth checking over everything with Sawgrass setup guides.....and then checking again
Is it just mugs or other blanks you're having the issue with? Do you wait for press to reach temp (with blank mug in to protect element) before putting a mug in to print?

Re: colour problems
Yes to all above (the new control panel was a free test because our press is only 2 month old) we had a ricoh engineer out the other day because of a printer head issue and he changed all the settings for the printer default so we had to change them back today. The only differance is we have it set to quality rather than speed.
Re: colour problems
Ok the option for quality was in the gel sprinter which we were previously using before we changed to power driver at sawgrass instructions.when we go to print the printer is power driver print style is corel defaults the only thing i can see is when you select preferences the driver configuration OEM PRINTER says Gelsprintergxe7700n and is set to high res. Were do i see if colour management is turned off in corel draw

Re: colour problems
Ok, I'm pretty sure you've not followed the install and setup guides from the Sawgrass website
If you have, then the technician has possibly changed everything. You should be choosing the powerdriver in printers not Gelsprinter. As you're asking me where colour management I think you may need to go back to Sawgrass site, take a look here and follow everything from scratch. if it was me, I'd remove everything, printer wise and start over again.......
