Brown tinge to pillow cases

Hi all and Happy Christmas
I am sure that has been covered here before but any variations of the main search words ,browning, pillow case, burning, have not provided the answer.
I have been trying to print onto a 50/50 cotton polyester pillow case. The print is fine I always have a brown tinge left where the main press has just pressed against the material. The print area is clear and the colours are fine. I started at 190 for 45 sec then 180 for 55 sec. The second print was slightly faded compered to the first but still had the brown area around the rest of the press area. The first time was without a baking sheet, 2nd time with. Both times the pillow case was pressed for 20 sec to remove the creases as they are new out of the packet. I have pressed them as follows (from bottom up) Pillow case, print, baking sheet. I am worried that if I go much lower on temp then it wont sublimate. I was wondering if I just filled the rest of the area with off cuts of Sub paper would that protect it. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

is the baking sheet the same size as the heat press plate ?? if so i cannot see why it would be marking

Thanks for the reply, I was beginning to think I had done something wrong or had offended people.
The baking sheet is the same size has the whole plate yes. Could it be that I have used the same sheet for a while now? Also the pillow cases were brought from Primark.

aaah that might well be the issue, often sheeting, not produced for printing, have a finish on them, it could be this that is catching with the heat press, i would try pressing one with nothing on, just use a new teflon / baking sheet with no image and press, then see if this marking is on it, if it is then its the cases, and i suggest you are going to have to give them a wash (no powder no conditioner) before you print them

Iain, could you post an image of your Pillow Cases here if it's not too much trouble once you get them right please - I would love to see how 50/50 looks.

I imagine its going to be a bit dull, don't take that the wrong way - I am just trying to get my head around how the different compositions are turning out.

I have a 100% Polisub Polyester shirt here as a sample and the difference between this and the cotton mixes I have been trying is like night and day - mind you this was made for purpose.
