Listawood Visit.

I am booked in to visit Listawood on Tuesday 10th Dec.

Have any of you been there before ? if so what what is the highlight of the day.. what to ask to see etc.

The highlight of the day is when you leave the premises and all your vehicle's wheel's are intact

Very bumpy road to get there but well worth it, they are a fantastic bunch of people and only too eager to help its customers. Kris and Becki are lovely.

I second that, well worth seeing, and of course, nip into Fakenham, find Aldis, and head to the chocolate shop where its full of very very cheap factory seconds that still taste very scrummy

Hi Nik

Had a session with Kris a couple of weeks ago and found it well worth the trip. They have a machine which does multicolour screen printing onto mugs - very impressive, accurate register and quick. The sheer scale of their capacity to print is something to see. I can well imagine that your brain will be working overtime and you'll spend the trip home figuring out how to build a tunnel oven from an old toaster and anything else that comes to hand back at Grey Towers ;o)

I have said this so many times in the last couple of weeks, but the biggest thing for me was to see the difference in printed results between Powerdriver and an ICC profile. Next it would be really interesting to see the difference between the standard Sawgrass profile for the 3110 and sublijetR and one of Pauls super deluxe custom profiles.

Also i took my own mug press with me (and laptop full of files), might be worth taking your presses with you so you can see the results on your equipment and try any adjustments to time and temp there and then. One thing Kris showed me was just how much pressure you can put onto a Durham mug, I had been running my press way too slack.

One other thing - make sure the car boot is empty so you can pick up some stock while you are there (thus avoiding the p&p m' boy) and don't forget the Listawood discount code

i have done quite few profiles for ricoh and sublijet and people was always happy

Thanks Mr Daley, I hadn't thought of that - I will indeed take my Press.

I also have an empty boot as I finally got rid of my so-called 'Software Developer' - I used the recent bad weather do dump him over the edge at Cromer (I am joking a bit, the developer is still alive and well in India).

I am due for a change of luck, on Wednesday night my missus called me saying 'My Bike won't start' (she uses a motorcycle, like mine to get to and from work faster) so I went out in the minus temperatures in my car to sort the Bike out (Just bad HT leads which I have since fixed).. on the way there the end pipe of my exhaust fell off (it was the original BMW one - lasted a very good while so that owe's nothing) which, to my surprise makes a huge difference to the noise levels.

Anyway, with me still driving - smiling to myself thinking 'I'm not unlucky' I fixed the bike and just after turning out of the road the missus was stuck on I found myself being illuminated by a well known traffic camera.. Doh - I knew it was there but was so cold from standing outside I just got into my car and wanted to get home quickly.. So, having already attended the 'Speed Awareness Course' it looks like I will be taking points, and a fine I already thought of getting the missus to take the points but she is not insured in that car...
