Ricoh SG3110DN waste ink tank full
Re: Ricoh SG3110DN waste ink tank full
Hi. I've been happily printing on my SG3110DN for over a year now and have put a few carts through it. On Friday eve I noticed that the ink waste tank was full and now need to purchase a replacement quickly. I've checked BMS' products but can't see reference to this item. The only items I can see on eBay and Amazon would come from overseas but i'm hoping I can organise something to arrive with me on Tuesday. At the moment i'm faced with telephone calls to Martin and maybe Sawgrass on Monday morning. Any ideas would be welcome

also, there are threads on here about resetting the waste tank to get more prints, without having to purchase a new one. I've never done it myself, but I gather others have been successful with it. see this thread as an example.

That's brilliant! Thanks a lot. Now why couldn't I see that on my own?

Re: Ricoh SG3110DN waste ink tank full
I would definitely be washing out the Waste Ink Tank when One of mine are full - That doesn't seem like a problem but resetting the chip might be.. I have seen somewhere that you can do this from the printer settings - a 'User Code' maybe ? I will cross this bridge when I come to it.
Sorry Martin, Don't want to be taking away business but buying a new Tank seems a bit drastic, just pop your existing one apart, take out the filler material and wash it out (probably not down the sink, and absolutely NOT into a River).
