hi im going t start a business in printing and have around£2500 to start with i was going to go with a3 ricoh printer and of course press, it does worry me though that only white shirts look really good, but dont have the money for a white toner laser printer, ive seen a product called goof proof paper ? is this just a standard ink jet.
how else can i print coloured t shirts to a standard that will last and be worth selling ?

Have a good read on here and you will find all the answers you need , especially if you spend £10 and become a premium member

Ive never heard of goof proof paper and if its not been mentioned on here, I wouldnt bother. Maybe others know better.
But with that sort of money you could buy a Cameo plotter/cutter, a t-shirt press, a decent mug press and Ricoh A4 printer. Plus some software that will do Vector graphics like Corel Draw. X6 is expensive but you should be able to pick up V12 on Ebay ( just make sure it legit). With Corel you can do all your normal bitmap graphics as well.
With the Cameo you will be able to cut vinyl and that can be pressed onto any colour t-shirt you want. And you dont have to stick with Polyester, vinyl will press onto vertually anything.
I wouldnt bother trying out cheaper alternatives, you will waste your money and end up having to buy decent stuff in the end.
Id talk to BMS and ask what they can offer you.
