pixmax 5 in1 press
epson xp205 printer with sublimation ink
sublimation paper from monsterdoodle
using photoshop 7 for imaging
360 degree f and 60 seconds from the beep but in the press itself from putting it on so it heats with the press as monsterdoodles told me

cheers most mugs turn out ok just if i have block dark colour its sort of speckled red in the bottom part of the design

What ink?
What printer ICC profile?
Is monsterdoodle the brand or supplier of the paper?

Not sure if your time is wrong, I would do 180c for 180 seconds from when it reaches it's temperature. I'm sure others are going to tell you too that your inks and papers are not up to the job but that's for you to decide. I started like yourself with cheap inks and papers and was told by many people that I need to swap my inks rct but to this day I'm still using my cheap ones that came with the printer.
next thing is icc which is a profile that tells your printer what inks you are using and prints the right colours, see paul on this site for further details.

Interesting post. I'm sure Sawgrass will be following this one up :)

with regards to the monster doodle supplied paper, i know the stuff we got for free with our heat press was of a very low quality, and switching to Trupix made a huge difference.

I bought the exact same gear as you - replaced the lot already, well almost - just waiting to get some money in and then I will be buying the Auto Clam from xPress.

Was it 'Quality Bits' ink, from amazon by chance?

The Bundled paper is better used in the Bathroom.

MD do give good service though - I am not knocking the company by any means, I have found them very good.
My website is open: www.Linksrepairshop.co.uk

Using FlexiStarter 10 and a Liyu SC631e & a Silhouette Cameo cutter. 2x Ricoh SG3110dn printers and Adkins Auto Clam press. Using Sublijet-r from Sawgrass.
