Re: What are YOU doing for Charity?

I have been giving my paypal email address out recently, and realise that some will have checked out my main (Generic) website.. So I went there myself to see what's being seen (As I update it, well - not very often to be honest).

The last thing I did for Charity is at the top in the form of a video - I hadn't seen this for so long I watched again and it made me smile so I thought I would post it here for your enjoyment :)

I devote my Thursdays to Hospital Radio Norwich, we start visiting the patients from 4pm and then do the request show that evening. Not many Hospitals these days have people who actually visit the patients as we all have to undergo an in-depth CRB check which most Hospitals choose not to fund.

We are completely self-funding, and are a registered Charity - there is a different team each night so the patients see different people each day (unless they are in for more than a week of course).

Anyway, this is my charity work - if you also do something it would be great to see it here :)

I believe in the phrase 'Charity begins at Home' (as I see it - if you can't help yourself you cannot help others) and I think that is the reason not so many can afford to help others these days.

My wife and I do what we can to raise funds for Greyhound rescue. Fortunately more and more people are becoming aware of the unspeakable cruelty inflicted on these lovely gentle dogs. They are slaughtered in their thousands each year; not always in a humane way.

On the 22nd and 23rd we, and our two dogs will be outside Morrison's in Cromer collecting tins in hand!

Every couple months, my wife and I collect clothes and childrens toys from friends and family that are used, but in very good condition and then we take it to the local Red Cross or to different churches, who then distribute to the local poor or to other parts of the world.
