Really?... I think this needs clarifying. The SG7100 and the SG3110 use the same size standard cartridges although the SG7100 also has high capacity cartridges. Using high capacity cartridges the cost per ml of ink is cheaper BUT that is not the same as saying it will give "significantly more prints per ml of ink than the A4".

Where is the evidence to suggest that an A3 Ricoh will print significantly more prints per ml of ink compared to the A4 Ricoh printer?

Martin, check out our "cost per prints" on the tech tab on our website - the 7100 does print more efficiently than the 3110.
How is this calculated ? The only realistic way - by running out a full set of carts on each model ( you should see the quantity of paper we get through...)

Thanks Barbara, yes I can see and accept the costs are different. I think my issue is the premise that there are significantly more prints. It a matter of definition, but on a single ml of ink I don't think there are significantly more prints. On £175 ex vat cost of ink then a ml of ink costs £1.36. If an A4 print is either £0.61 or £0.53 (figures from Sawgrass) then I don't think you get "significantly" more prints per ml of ink - you wouldn't even get a single page more using the A3 compared to the A4.

I get a good feeling from knowing Sawgrass and BMS noticed my thread here, I feel in 'Safe Hands' now (So to speak).

But does this mean I will be inducted into the 'Supported' area of this forum, should I expect an invite soon after I register my new equipment ?

Seriously though, I wouldn't have known a thing if I hadn't joined this forum - I would have still been burning cheap ink and cursing the whole experience.

I will soon be able to get the Sublimation side of things working properly, and impressing people with my products rather than hiding that part of it away as I have been doing.


I feel quite sure that I will be buying a new Mug Press next, just purchased a proper thermometer to test my main heat press (hopefully that, at least is good enough to use).

... sorry Paul that you had to find something my post to pick at... I meant to say those that offer a discount... NOT sponsor .... as in Listawood for example..... Also that BMS does not offer discounts at present as they have done. My mistake for not explaining it properly...
