Versacamm for clothing?

Just been researching Versacamm videos and watched a few showing printing for clothes, sweatshirts, waterproofs etc. Now they all made this look like a really sensible and obvious thing to do. Why bother with other things just use a versacamm!
So is this just clever marketing, or are they ideal for that?

Yes.... and no

They have never been designed for the garment market but it is something they push because the machine is so versatile.

Advantages
Lots of different materials for various types of garments available.
Machine will print and cut in one hit
relatively cheap on dark garments
Large print area (enables you to do things like table cloths etc)
Full colour photographic reproduction not a problem
versatility

Disadvantages
weeding is the same as standard flex, OKI white is better as no weed
Not good for white garments due to cost of material
footprint
cost of the machine

In short if I just did garments I do not think I would purchase a Versacam

It really doesn't fit in with my current business, more of the "HMMMMM'S"

Think I'll pass. I thought £2000 was ample..... poor chap nearly died! he paid £9000 wants £5000....

I think £2000 would be about right, if he is asking 5k for it I assume its pristine as it is an old model.

It is pristine but needs to be 2K for me.

Maybe I am a tight wad, but I think 2k is about right anyway.

While the machine is a very good machine it is an old model. My Versacamm prints white and metallic as does my OKI. If I look at new printers these days then I want them to be state of the art and at the forefront of technology.

If I were you I would simply say, "well if you do not sell it you know where I am"
