Re: Adjustments to icc profile...

Post by asub »

Hi. I am not getting the correct colour from my icc profile. I have Aficio SG3110DN.

I have just upgraded from epson sx235w (which was awesome) never had an issue with colour but it broke down :(

I have tried...
Lower heat settings
trying comparing it to other preset profiles
Using a power driver

My colours are..
Black printing as brown
purple/ pink printing more towards peach colour.

Using sublijet ink I think, just wondered if there are any adjustments I can make.

I tried using prism profile but could not seem to get it to work.

Thanks

Profiles are available for this printer but the Powerdriver should be all you need and you shouldn't need any adjustments. Bear in mind cooking times are usually less from the Ricoh compared to your Epson, blacks turning brown for example could well be overcooking/too high temp.

Have done temperature of...
160, 170, 175, 180, 185, 190, 200

For times I have done a few different.

So do you think if I turn the temp down further but leave the time longer? Because when I have put less heat on but kept the same time the image did not transfer fully.

Thanks

Have tried it on my usual blanks with my ysual branded papers for a wide range of times. I was mistaken earlier, it is the grays that are brown and the pinks are peachy still. Using the same images I always use also. The only thing that has changed is the printer.

Miss my Epson :(
