Templates are designs for mugs etc. that customers can insert their own photo's into. Products are the blanks your customers can personalise, i.e mug, coaster, clock and so on.

Understand on the white panel and it is when there is a part print not full wrap. Just always found it slightly annoying as I prefer a design to blend.

So, next scenario which relates to pricing. I do no need most of the bits offered so not really sure where I would fit on pricing/level. I just need the 3D mug where we can upload our own design in-house and then let the customer have the 3D image to sign off as a proof. Don't need any other options really. Might be some other items further down the line.

Sounds like this isn't what you need then Andrew as this is to run on your website to allow the customer to do their own designs.

I will find out if a stripped back version for in house would be possible.

Yowser.

Sorry mate, but think it's way over priced. I would have expected somewhere near £300 per year for it at the PRO level.

Also, reading the price list, where it says USER SAVE DESIGN and USER SAVE IMAGES. Presumably they can only save it to a secure place on the website domain and do not actually have access to the artwork? Otherwise what would stop someone popping on to my website, designing a mug, saving the artwork and then popping over to Andrew (for example) and asking him to print it?

No need to apologise for having an opinion :-) have you looked at other offerings in this field Simon? I was very surprised when I saw what they cost. Obviously you're looking at the Pro version but there are cheaper options here.
Personally I feel the price is very good when you look at the added value to your website.

Hi Justin

Perhaps I should explain why I think it is too much :-)

When I purchase anything I look at can it increase my revenue or will it make my life easier or company look better. Personally, and as a B2B supplier, this software falls into the later. I do not think I would attract any more customers because of having a 3D design tool as they all receive printed samples before the bulk run anyway.

I appreciate that this software is superb and as you say, will probably be the best one on the market. But spending £100.00 per month on something that does not increase revenue is a tad too much for me. A different view is that I could purchase a 3D machine for pretty much the same yearly subscription and this would increase revenue.

As a small company it is just my view and the larger companies with staff, premises and shinny sign written vans may take a completely different view. This is just my two pennies worth :-)

Only looking at the PRO version because the key selling point for me is the ability for the user to create their own design and save the high res art. Otherwise it is pretty much the same as Paul's PRESSITON.

Completely appreciate that this is cheaper than any of the competitors, I have not looked at them to be honest but totally take your word for it that this software is a bargain. But perhaps this is the reason that there are so few companies out there who actually provide this sort of service.

I suppose its down to the choice of the publishers, I remember once paying £700.00 (not my money!!!) just to be able to create PDF's then Adobe decided to drastically reduce the price to less than £150.00 and hey presto, PDF is now a standard format and Adobe are seriously wealthy ;-)

I don't think it is aimed at the type of use we are looking at Simon, as it is more a B2C. I can see it being value for money for many but it would just be an add-on for me rather than a sales tool. I just need the blank canvas to upload a finished design or my customer to load theirs rather than doing the design with the software. It would be just a way of showing a proof on 3D instead of flat. I have 3D rendering capabilities already just it is time consuming. Hopefully this will become an option.
