Hey bud,
Epson 1500, Brand new.
Ive tried over 10 head cleans, Sometimes doing a nozzle check i get cyan with some missing lines So ill clean again and the next time the cyan wont come through at all. I feel there might be an air leak somewhere. I have been trying to prime to remove the air from the cartridge/lines but all i get is air bubbles. I Swapped the cartridge over with spare but still the same.
There is no air in the lines from what i can see but i get plenty bubbles from the catridge.
I'm now incredibly low on all ink (They were full)
Bit of a panic as i have no idea how to complete this order now.

Hi Ben is this a continous ink system ? im guessing it is 10 head cleans is a lot to do in one go it does sound like an air leak advice ive been given in the past is as follows
try hot glue gun on all the connecting tubes this may help
push firmly on the carts to ensure a tight fit
the fact you are drawing bubbles through a syring does suggest an air leak check all your connecting tubes even possibly cutting a bit off the end of a tube and pucsing this firmly back on the connector.
who did you get the system from ?
try contacting them explain your predicament they may print a sheet out and send it to you to get you out of trouble
They should also help you with the cyan problem if they cant help they would then probably refer you to sawgrass it has been known for sawgrass to get me a new cart assembly next day this may help
Good luck !

Cheer for all that Brett, You've always got some good tips
I've not attempting the glue gun, do you actually mean to glue the tubes onto the shoulder/connector?. Ive cut the tubes and re-connected
The CISS system came from City Ink Express, The inks are from BMS, Artainium. I got in touch with City Ink and they are going to send out a new cartridge
I've refunding the customers money - so no need for that patone 377c anymore. Everyday is a learning day

real shame you had to refund was the pantone match a request from the customer or do you offer this , the only reason i ask is getting an exact pantone match with sublimation can be quite tricky. regarding the glue gun i meant put some around each joint i suppose you could do the same with silicone but glue guns dry quicker gotta admit martin at bms came up with that tip.i assume cityink are sending you a cart assembly not a single cart?Benn81;76025 wrote:Cheer for all that Brett, You've always got some good tips

heres one last tip for you buy some refillable carts for the 1500 i believe 1400 carts are the same. the carts are small and wont last long between refills but if something like this happenes again you will always have something to fall back on to get you through a hitch .
ps
should you want to buy any artanium ink i have 3 bottles of artanium ink with loads in that i dont use anymore yellow (800ml) light magenta (600ml) and light cyan (600ml)you can have the lot for £150 + postage if you're interested

Word of warning, don't ever offer pantone matching if using Sublimation. Whilst you'll probably get it very close an exact match will be very difficult to achieve. better to aire on the side of caution and tell them it will be close but with this process you can't guarantee an exact match.

Geez my grammer and spelling. I really need to proof read what i write. Hang my head in shame.
The Patone was a request, The customer was aware it would not be an 100% exact match and was fine with it.
I'm hoping Cityink are sending out the cart assembly as that's what i ask for. If they just set a single cartrige then not a problem as i can swap the cartridges over with a bit of messing around. Will see when it arrives
Great idea having spares. Rather logical and sensible, which i am neither.
As for the ink, i wish i knew earlier. I just a spent small fortune with BMS yesterday for those exact inks. Anyway i'll take them. Keep them aside for me till the end of the week(if thats ok). I want to see how it goes with this cartridge from ink express.
Beginning to think it was a bad decision starting up again. Spending more than making.
Cheers
Benn

Will keep the ink for you no prob think i also have a little bit of black as well ill throw that in for ya. I got the refillable carts from coral graph cant remember how much but not expensive they tend to work when a ciss wont no weak links i suppose. As for costing you more than spending countyourself lucky ive just paid out over 5grand for a printer. Its a learning curve so they sayBenn81;76037 wrote:Geez my grammer and spelling.
