I am looking at getting either the Epson 7015wf or the Canon Pixma xi6550 with pigment ink for office printing as well as photographs and heat press transfers. Would these be best with CIS system or refillable ink cartridges.
I am also looking at the Ricoh SG3110 for use with sublimation inks.
any thoughts or recommendations of where to buy would be appreciated.
thanks in advance
Graham
Advice on my printer choices please
Re: Advice on my printer choices please
If Ricoh, then your only option readily available in the UK is to use Sawgrass inks, and if you're going that route, you should buy from a Sawgrass dealer and buy both inks and printer from them as a package to ensure you get the Sawgrass warranty support you pay for with the inks.
As for the pigment printer - is your main use as an office printer, or as an art printer. Office printers tend to be built for speed and not their quality of print and are usually just 4 colours, whereas an art/photo printer would print with a better quality close to a photo and tend to have 6 inks colours.

It would be for art/photo mainly so guess I need a 6 ink printer, and a 3rd cheapy for the office printing. What would you recommend bearing in mind a restricted budget. I was already looking at buying the ricoh as a system but not sure who yet. Depends if I buy everything from one supplier!
