Poor Print Epson 1400

hi,

i am using an epson 1400 with ArTainium UV Cis system. i just cant get the colours to look anything like they should (i also use a Ricoh GX e2600 which works great)

when i print from the Epson my Images are really bad quality, i did clean the print heads but only made a slight difference. The prints have lines in and the colours are not coming out like they should. i have tried to upload an image of what it looks like but its not uploading..... i can email if anyone would kindly be able to help me?

Hi Ricky,

I also use the 1400, lines in the print definitely sounds like a partial blockage in the head, is the print head test coming out ok, with no missing lines?

I print at photo quality, the colours can look a bit lifeless on paper, they don't really pop until sublimated. I assume you have a proper profile installed, this is an absolute must for good results.

thanks Alan, i have changed the quality to photo and cleaned the nozzels a few more times and its working as it should.

More often than not, with CISS systems, the problems are more with flow/pressure from the CISS to the printer, and not actual blockages in the head at all. Always good to have some refillable carts as a back up, to check where the problem actually is.
