could you have a swing press if the desk was against the wall - what i mean is when the press swings round is it likely to take a chunk out of the wall?

With a swing press you can't have it against the wall as when you swing it then the plate will hit the wall before you can swing it round. I've got one and it takes up a fair amount of space.

I have an Adkins swing press which is almost against the wall. The feet stick out the back so the swing part is actually quite a distance. The front feet however do hang off the front

Hahaha I've got a tiny amount of space so might actually look into hanging the front if it means I can swivel the press enough.

Best way to do it is by getting a piece of board that is just over the size of the press. Put this on the desk and then the press on top.

the other option is a press with a pull/slide out drawer, so the drawer slides out of the fron of the press for you to prep what you are pressing, and then you push it back under the press, and lower the press on to it.
They pop up on Ebay from time to time, and are usually yellow.

No point messing around, also you can setup presets for all your pressing needs, the caddy is also a nice option for the press too.

Does anyone else rate that press or have 1? Too much for a newbie?

I was looking at the exact same model and they offered a very good deal at FESPA, however I changed my mind at the last minute and went for one of these instead.

The only reason I decided to go for this was because I simply felt there is too much electronics in the Fusion and more to go wrong. The machine I purchased has been on the market for years and is tried and tested.

I am not saying there is anything wrong with the FUSION as it is backed by an excellent heat press maker, I just felt that playing extra safe was better for me
