Re: Online creation tools for cases etc.
Does anyone have any suggestions for online creation tools for web-2-print type upload and manipulate sites that we could use for phone cases?

I have looked at the followings:
All-in-one Product Designer by Design N Buy:
http://www.designnbuy.com/all-in-one-pr ... tware.html
Open Source Web to Print X:
http://www.webtoprintx.com/
And lastly Zetaprint that is hosted.
I haven't tried any of them yet but will update once I do.
Cheers!

Had a quick look at these options but not sure about them tbh, I know about opentshirts and that they are planning to release a html5 version soon but does anyone know of any others that are not too hard to integrate as I am now looking at redesigning my whole website to be either magento or opencart and would love to give the customer the option of putting their own design on a shirt, phone case, mug etc.

Hey tlworkwear. I'm also looking to build my website using Magento or Woocommerce. Design'N'Buy bundles their software with a Magento CE edition, they also have add-on that can integrate with Opencart and WooCommerce. I've just contacted them and I still haven't had the chance yet to tinker with it. I'm not trying to promote their product but it seems their software is one of the "complete" off-the-shelf out there.tlworkwear;73207 wrote:Had a quick look at these options but not sure about them tbh, I know about opentshirts and that they are planning to release a html5 version soon but does anyone know of any others that are not too hard to integrate as I am now looking at redesigning my whole website to be either magento or opencart and would love to give the customer the option of putting their own design on a shirt, phone case, mug etc.

I currently use woocommerce on my site but have found that it is a little too basic for what I am looking to do. I might keep it going for the ready made designs I have but as I am looking to get into printed gifts etc I would like to offer the customer the option of uploading their own image/design.

I am looking at this also and will be only looking at html5 and jquery - compatible across various devices. The hardest thing is connecting the designer part to the ecommerce system. Unless somebody has done it already, need to write the code yourself or get somebody to do it.
I am thinking about having the designer part store the results in a database and then passing a unique identifier to a text field in a product. That identifier then gets passed through the shopping cart and I access it from the customers order.

ASL, I would be interested in what you come across as for me it would have to be HTML5 I think as well.
