Hi folks,

I am that late night "guest visitor" who has probably visited nearly every thread in my quest for knowledge (some threads more than once but in differing contexts) and I have to say I feel like I know many of you already! With four school age children and a full time job, trawling the computer was not something I ever had much time to do.....until now...

I was beginning to do mugs as a hobby with a long term plan, alongside the messier wet clay side of pottery, to steadily build something for my retirement, several years down the line. However, due to circumstances, that far of "retirement" (let's call it a beginning rather than an end) has appeared much earlier than planned and the slow build has become a rather faster paced panic!

I have some equipment already, which has been a great start, but after lots of adjustments to account for unknown inks on dreadful paper (I found some brilliant paper in the end -Texprint XP which I bought from Germany), I think I need to go down the supported route with proper profiles etc.

I have already purchased from Martin at BMS and have found David at Frizbee through this forum, so keep it up folks, your time and expertise is most appreciated. I want to do this properly - You never know, I may even be able to help someone else one day !!

I hope I haven't bored you too much already :)

PS. It took me a while to respond after my welcome email as I couldn't see how - then today, there was the "post new thead" which I'm sure wasn't there yesterday! As I say, new to forums so please be gentle!

Hi Ali! I'm new to both too! And think I also have the late night "guest visitor" badge too.
