Re: how to deliver 6 boxes of mugs?
Box rate through our courier is £6.99 (DHL or UPS via Parcel Broker) and would give a small discount if all boxes going to same destination.
Other option is on a pallet, which is about the same price (£41.75) again with ParcelBroker, but less chance of breakages.
(prices are ex-VAT)

Re: how to deliver 6 boxes of mugs?
Same as Pisquee
City link charge me £6.50 for first 20 kilos and 25p per kilo after that so 6 boxes at 13 kilos a box = 78 kilos = £21.00 plus VAT Have sent thousands of boxes of mugs this way and have only had 2 damaged boxes in over a year.
If you want to be really safe then sending via a pallet it better. But you will need a pallet and some shrink wrap (from somewhere like Raja Pack).
Worth noting the following:
Make sure that if you send via pallet that the recipient can receive pallets and you will need to ask them if they have fork lift facilities and label outside of the pallet if there are no such facilities. If you are delivering to a warehouse then sometime you need to book pallets in and receive reference codes or nowadays bar codes to put on the outside. Your purchaser will now all of this.
Like Pisquee these are next day services, timed services are more expensive.
If you do not have an account with anyone then some where like www.parcels2go.com are ideal for sending one offs and not too expensive. If you want to send as a pallet just contact your local transport/haulage firm and they will be able to do it, but expect to pay more for both of these options.

USING: Whatever it takes to get the job done...
Re: how to deliver 6 boxes of mugs?
Always used Fedex. For 6 boxes we shrink wrap 2 boxes together and send out as 3 parcels. This would cost us about £16 + vat. The benefit of having 2 boxes strapped together is that if you have the bad luck of an idiot courier driver, they cannot throw your parcel due to the weight.
Re: how to deliver 6 boxes of mugs?
... To add, for pallets via ParcelBroker, all delivery vehicles have tail lifts and pallet trucks.
