Re: Does anyone here do Koolart stuff?
Don't even try to do koolart images on ebay. I did for three years had over 16000 positive feedbacks. Made £200 - £600 a day. In November and December I could reach £900 a day. Had over 100000 items listed. T-shirts, aprons, mugs, water bottles, various phone cases, various bags, fridge magnets, key-rings etc. etc. But according to ebay there was one issue - TRADEMARK VIOLATION. Big names such as Audi, Ferrari, Ducati and others kept reporting me to ebay. Yamaha was the worst one. They reported me along with Audi dozens of time. There were so many items in my shop they couldn't report everything in one go, so they did it gradually. But there were issues not only with car images but celebrities as well, especially Bruce Lee and others. I even received a letter from some licensing company threatening to report me to some agency which deals with copyright issues. Sometimes dog owners demanded me to remove their pets images from my listings. Apparently what Koolart did, they googled images of dogs and cats, framed those pics and sold as licensed product. Eventually ebay took actions they suspended my ebay shop for life without chance to open new one. And also paypal withheld all my money, suspended my paypal account and put my name on the black list. When I rang paypal they said they suspended my account because of policy violation and they will never allow me to open new account. Now everything was blocked and suspended. I contacted Robert, and he kinda was furious because of ebay and paypal actions. He tried to contact ebay but couldn't do anything, cause ebay won't even listen to him. Eventually I had to close my business, my paypal account was frozen, I couldn't accept payments and found myself in big trouble, cause couldn't get money to pay my bills. Creditors still chasing and threatening. Can't start new business because of credit rating. No bank wants to even open bank account on my name. So, if you don't want the same happening to you AVOID KOOLART, unless you all of your sales are offline.

Re: Does anyone here do Koolart stuff?
Personally im kind of suspicious of that post if its genuine i apologise but lets break it down
this is the one and only post from this member seems an odd first post
Over 100000 listings id hate to see the ebay bill
paypal can not with hold money yes they can freeze accounts whilst investigations take place they can with hold money due to a customer dispute but withholding funds that no customer is disputing seems at the very least odd if not illegal its not for paypal to decide what is copyright / trade mark violation and only the courts can award payment to companies in the case of copyright violation
Cant start a ne w business and had to shut his down ??? whats he doing on this forum then ?
I may be wrong and as i said if i am im happy to apologise but to me it seems very odd and at the very least not quite the full story

Re: Does anyone here do Koolart stuff?
I know that the Koolart stuff is borderline but according to them it sits on the right side of the line to make it legal. Problem is, ebay will not question any brand owner who has an issue. They just pull it down and give you a hlack mark. As far as they are concerned they are not in the position to argue with a brand owner as it would need a legal team to look at it. Easier for them to just side against you regardless of your claims as they are protecting themselves.
It is a minefield and regardless of how legitimate something is, you have no power unless you go down the legal route yourself. Problem is with Koolart is that the artwork may be fine but descriptions used are what gets you pulled.

Having over 100k items listed is not a big deal but if it were 100k different lines/listings then that is different matter. Items can be multiples x colour / size/ design etc.
Re: Does anyone here do Koolart stuff?
Paypal can and do hold money for 180 days on suspicion of copyright and bann you from ever holding a paypal account again, obviously this would affect any online business, this has happens repeatedly to lots of people and well publicised.
If ebay and paypal (ebay own paypal) decide that you break copyright and have listings removed due to copyright (or vero program) more than 4 seperate violation times in 6mths then you will indeed get banned from selling and can loose your paypal account as well.
That said i do believe mainly that there is more to this story than first said.
I believe you have to display the koolart information in listings.
All the images you see on this listing are copyrighted and owned 100% by Koolart Limited. None of the images on this site are endorsed by any such motor manufacturer and Koolart do not portray there images to be endorsed by any such manufacturer.

Paypal are well known for putting accounts under investigation and with holding your funds.
If audi or harley ect. tell ebay to pull 20 listings you will be suspended or banned at the flick of a switch.
Doesn't matter what your rating is on ebay or how big you are, withdraw your paypal money each day is the only way your money is safe with them.
Watchdog did a piece on it a few months ago, they took down a video games wholesaler, all his stock was legit he was vat registered and had all reciepts for his stock they kept his money for 180 days which from memory was about 8k
