Re: Tips for returns

Post by dazzul »

Hello!

I was just wondering do you have any tips for making sure the customer dont try and return a item.

For example in the past with vinyl ive had people say "its too small" yes they knew the size when purchasing.
Im worried about subli stuff people will just get it and think "i wish it had a different photo on" and try and return it by breaking it and saying it was damaged.

Any tips here?

If they're ordering online a quick proof to show how it might look would help. If they know the size I don't really think that's a valid argument.

I can honestly say it's very rare to get something sent back, sure I've made mistakes and products have been faulty to which I'll replace straight away but for the reasons you've given...nope! :-)

likewise here very rare anyone does this and if they do its usually an ebay customer. unfortunatly theres not a lot you can do if someone says something turned up broken how do you know if its honest or not? generally if it happens i ask for photographic proof or insist on them returning the item. Also if they requested a differnt picture id say no and just replace the item as is

Ive had a few tees that have been "shrunk" after washing and the customer has said that the vinyl is not as it should be!.... even though they admit that tees do shrink during washing...(I thought all the tees I bought in were pre-shrunk!)!. WTF?... They also say that the picture does not look like the size they expected!.."That looks small on the picture!".. when the image for proofing is scaled for mailing but the image on the tee is actual size!. Another good one... and probably the best is that "When you print the image on the tee, will I get the original back?"... hahahaha... that had me in creases!
To view links or images in signatures your Beer count must be 10 pints or greater. You have currently drunk 15 pints!.

Ahh so do you generally just say replacement only upon receiving original item back?. Who should pay the postage costs here?

theres no hard n fast rule to that, what we do is ask for a photo of the problem item that way it cost nothing to anyone

Alway send a proof in a email and a email back from client that he is happy with size , colour and spelling etc , as job doesn't start till that is back , alway ask for pictures of any faulty or damaged goods or better if they return them .
