Poor Service from Xpres - Again
Re: Poor Service from Xpres - Again
Hi John,
I take many of your points, but I would think that a trade show was the perfect place to question a product, face2face, touch & feel, no phone, post or type, and no delay.
Sure, washers vary, I wear & wash samples ALL THE TIME - made by Logobear, competitors, samples and freebies, and all manner of alternative suppliers, I have a permanant marker and hole punch next to our washing machine so I can monitor number of washes, sometimes I cut up garments so I can compare pre and apre wash.....remember, I was out shopping (for a versacam if it matters) but they didn't take the opportunity to win me over......

Re: Poor Service from Xpres - Again
If i had problems with an item and there was a trade show coming up i would have taken the item with me and shown them as well.
There are there to promote and promotion covers how well they handle complaints imo. (as every company no matter how big or small with have some degree of complaints)

I concede, I seem to be in the minority on this subject . I'll do it my way though.

Re: Poor Service from Xpres - Again
The problem is the way it would work, a review site wasnt suggested but a charter presented to those who "pass" in the opinion of a few people could very easily go very wrong and give the wrong impression of a company and be potentially libellous too if it damages someones business with unsubstantiated and unprovable but damaging comments.AdamB;69582 wrote:Why would that be a problem? I mean, the 'varied' responses bit?
I thought that's how the 'review' sites work with the good and bad points - and also for companies to see their faults and rectify from them.
Or (and it's happened many times in the past) have I missed the point again? (lol)
I'm not suggesting that what people have said about their experiences isnt 100% the truth, but there is always 2 sides of the story and if you're going to make it "official" then it needs to be 100% provable.

I agree wholly with you, I dont think a trade show is the right place to do it but we all do business in differing waysStitch Up;69601 wrote:I concede, I seem to be in the minority on this subject . I'll do it my way though.

I cannot see how DSF could have an approved supplier list, it would be like fleabay, where the threat is a diss could be used against a legitimate company.
We all have good and bad days, and each have different personalities that work with some and clash with others.

oh a rant and praise area thats good, would like it to be something like ordered XXX from YYY quality 8/10 printability 9/10 delivery time 10/10 delivery cost 8/10 overall 8/10 - that way it would not get personal, as we can see from this post loads deal with them wihtout issue others (me included) avoid them like the plaguelogobear;69636 wrote:I cannot see how DSF could have an approved supplier list, it would be like fleabay, where the threat is a diss could be used against a legitimate company.

Re: Poor Service from Xpres - Again
Their bottom price is 37.5p + vat for this quantity so not sure why the struggled on giving a cost. It is on their system as the highest quantity break as they cannot go lower. Was this the price you got?Zipdorf;69531 wrote:After having poor service from Xpres in December I thought I would try again. I wanted a price for 1,000 9 x 9 Square Coasters. "Are they "Unisub" products you offer? The "sales adviser didn't know". "Could you find out" I asked? This seemed like too much trouble so was simply told - yes (but could tell they hadn't asked).
What is the price for 1,000? They gave me a price. I had read on this forum about someone getting 20% discount, so decided to phone back and try for better price. Two and a half hours and three phone calls later and no one could tell me. A manager was going to phone me back. They never did. Then a sales assistant gave me a price a price - much higher - in fact no discount on ordering just 40!
How do these people stay in business?
I purchased a studio mug press from them late last year and I am in the market for two more. Guess who will NOT get my business - or for the Roland Cutter I'm about to source.
Sorry for the rant. But it helps my high blood pressure.
Xpres have always been decent when I have ordered over the past several years. Never had a real problem. They do tend to have fixed pricing and you need a quantity out of the norm to be able to get some haggling done. 1000 coasters is only 200 over their top price point so should have been a straight forward answer.
Re: Poor Service from Xpres - Again
Xpres are my pet hate company who i avoid as much as possible.
I emailed and spoke to them on the phone before going to view there packages.
On arrival my wife and i were left in reception for an hour after a three hour traffic riddled drive up from brighton (i had actually walked out, by the time someone came to see us and they sprinted into the car park to stop us leaving).
They pleaded with us to return promising a great deal by way of apology.
not wanting to cut my nose off, we went back in and had a very good demo.
At the end of it the wonderful deal was £600 more than the adverised price on there website, i queried this to be told the website was wrong, the price offered was that which needed to be paid.
I asked how this was 1. legal or 2. how it constituted any sort of deal when i could use my phone to purchase the kit cheaper to be told they would not honor the web order.
Totally disgusted i left them with a flea in there ear, wrote to the md complaining and vowed never to return or give them any of my money untill some sort of explanation or apology was offered.
never had a response from anyone, so came to the conclusion that they really dont give a monkies. and its just numbers to them. Bought it all elsewhere ni the end.
