Re: Colour shifting dron Ricoh GXe3350n

I have a Ricoh GXe3350n that I use for sublimation. I am having similiar colour shifting problems. Previously I had a problem where the blues had a green tinge. After trying many things I corrected it by changing the print driver. The 3350 seems to need a 3300 driver rather than the 3350. The blue reappeared. Now I get a gold colour when printing greys. The grey appears correctly on the screen in Corel 12 (which is what I use). I can duplicate the colour on the screen by adding some yellow to the grey fill in Corel. I have tried many things including installing Sawgrass Powerdrive for a 3300. After resintalling print driver so many times I lost count the green tinge is back along with the gold. This is when printing using the GXe3300 driver as well as the Powerdriver. Interestingly when I use the GXe3350 PCL6 driver, which is loaded when the printer is installed, the colours appear correct. I could use this driver but it is not as good as the recommended driver. Anybody have any ideas?

Are you using Sawgrass sublimation ink?
What are your colour management settings in Corel?

I am using Sawgrass ink. Color Management is turned off. The PCL or printer control language printer setting seems to work but the quality is not as good as the recommended driver which I am guessing is PS postscript. This is my frirst posting, I moved to a new thread.
Thanks.

If you go to the Sawgrass website it will walk you through the settings for Corel. I would suggest you do this first.

Thanks. As part of the Powerdriver setup they suggest color management be turned off. I have followed their setup. I think its more driver or RGB/CMYK related.

Colour management needs to be off in the printer driver, but Corel needs to know how to handle colours.

As Pisquee said and I said prior to that, follow the instructions on the Sawgrass site for setting up "CorelDraw" this is not the printer settings.

Thanks. I will look at again. When I installes Powerdriver I looked at the setup and troubleshooting but I may have missed something. I will read it again.

Be aware though that the 3350 is NOT a supported printer. The 3300 is but not the 3350.
